You could not believe

You were dancing with me

And I surprised at your hand at my waist

You were startled at the ease

With which you enjoyed the drive

I was surprised at your happy smile

You were surprised at waking up at ease

With me at your side

And so was I

I was amazed, amazed at how much you give

Both overcome by the intensity and the fierce joy

Of simply hugging and being there

In that embrace

Replenished, rejuvenated by that gaze

That stillness and that peace

Inside

YES -

YOU - ME

we both

yes - you - me WE BOTH
